| Diane Strasz, Vice President & COO, who studied Writing and Art History at Wayne State University, began her career in Detroit, MI as a copywriter for Crowley, Milner & Co. and senior writer for Winkelman’s, Inc. In management positions for Woodward & Lothrop (Washington, D.C.), Garfinckel’s (Washington, D.C.), Gimbels East (New York, NY) and Lillian Vernon Corporation (Mt. Vernon, NY), Ms. Strasz developed, wrote, edited and oversaw the production of print and broadcast advertising, special events and promotional campaigns, managing budgets up to $1.7 million. She worked in cooperative programs with major corporations such as Jantzen, Lees Carpets, Owens Corning, Godiva, Waterford Crystal, Aer Lingus, Lancome, Yves St. Laurent, Levi’s, Estee Lauder, Jones New York, Liz Claiborne, U.S. Dept. of Energy, NASA, Ford Motor Company, ABC-TV, Fashion Institute of Technology and Rensselaer Polytech. Many of her ads, catalogs, TV and radio spots were cited in “Retail Ad Week” and “Catalog Age.” As a consultant, Ms. Strasz produced services for Popular Club Plan, ArtCarve Rings, Inc., Manufacturers Hanover Bank, Vassarette, Inc., Comark Corporation (Contact Paper) and the Hecht Company. Ms. Strasz also authored more than a dozen children’s books for the Lillian Vernon Corporation. More recently, Ms. Strasz produced a number of marketing/advertising, management and community/corporate relations seminars for New York University Head Start Technical Assistance Support Center, The Newark Public Schools, and the Economic Opportunity Commission of Nassau County. |
